Natalie Shiyanova

Natalie Shiyanova (born July 12, 1979, Russia) is a Russian actress. Shiyanova trained at the Moscow Art Theatre (MXAT) from 1998 to 1998, and has appeared in Russian film and television from 1998 to the present. She moved to the USA to play the lead female part in the 2009 film ''Victory Day''.〔(''Victory Day'' review ) at Variety.com〕〔(''Victory Day'' review ) in the LA Times〕 Shiyanova's character, "Oksana Tihomirova", is a woman from small town in Russia who is unwittingly trafficked into prostitution in the west. The film is in English and Russian, and has so far opened with a minimal theatrical release in Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Shiyanova plays in English for the first time in the Action Thriller by director Sean Ramsay, who also plays a leading role, as a photojournalist who saves her from traffickers in the sex trade.
